This commode is very sturdy so that you feel safe.It is a good height from the floor so people with new hip replacements can use it.I found it altogether satisfactory with one exception.My son=in=law found a solution to that.He purchased plastic bags from REI made for camping commodes.My daughter placed a fresh bag as needed in the Amazon commode.Thus cleaning became easy.Especially for smelly deposits this was a lifesaver.This combination made the convalescence from my total hip replacement a success.I am planning to do the same when my right hip is replaced in March.Patricia Ellison
