I wasn't sure if I should get the 7", 10", or 12" version of this pillow when I ordered it so I went for the middle height. That has turned out to be a good balance between being high enough to prop you up to watch TV or read and being low enough to be comfortable to sleep on. I think a 12" would actually be better for watching TV, etc. and a 7" would be a little more comfortable for sleeping. But, if you're like me and you don't have enough room to store two versions, this 10" version has been a nice middle ground.The pillow is a fairly firm foam, so it's not terribly comfortable to put your head on directly. I use a normal pillow on top of it and that makes it very comfortable. My only real complaint is that the cover it comes with is made of a very, very light fabric and it doesn't look like it will survive many washes. We'll see how it holds up.
Overall, I'm quite pleased with this purchase.
