My "Wound Care" specialist ordered several sizes of the Mepilex Border Foam Dressings for daily covering of my difficult to heal skin ulcers. Since I am very sensitive to most "off the shelf" bandages and adhesives, I was concerned about trying anything new since we had been using Micropore Medical Tape, White - 3 in. x 10 yards - Box of 4 and non-stick bandages with good results. I am pleased that after a full of week of using these there hasn't been any negative skin reaction to these dressings.These are very comfortable to wear and work just like big a "Band-Aid". They also do not adhere to the wound area when removing the bandage, which is a big plus! My only real complaint is that the adhesive is fairly weak and the bandages will not stay secure for much more than a full day. I have used the 3M tape with good results to hold down edges that have come up in between changing times.
Recommended for those with sensitive skin!
